ExtendSMS is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy covers how ExtendSMS treats personal information about advertisers and consumers using its service (the "Service"). By registering for and using the Service, consumers and advertisers agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this Policy.
"Personal Information" shall mean information, which is not otherwise publicly available, that can be used to identify an individual or an organization, such as an individual's name, email address, phone number or address.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected on websites controlled by third parties, even if those third parties are partners of ExtendSMS, and even if a consumer links to such sites using the ExtendSMS Service.
Information Collection and Disposal
ExtendSMS collects Personal Information from an advertiser when it registers with the Service. This information is used for billing purposes and to establish advertiser links to and through the ExtendSMS website.
ExtendSMS also collects Personal Information from a consumer when he/she registers with the Service. If a consumer does not register with the Service, ExtendSMS still collects a consumer's mobile phone number when he/she sends a text message to the ExtendSMS service. Our use of this information is limited to providing the ExtendSMS Service to the consumer as described in ExtendSMS's Terms of Use (see www.extendsms.com/terms ) ExtendSMS will notify you and seek your consent prior to using this information for any other purpose.
Sending an ExtendSMS registered keyword to the ExtendSMS service using a mobile phone does not require a web based account. Upon receiving some keywords, we may create a "temporary" account for you. In this case we will communicate the username and password associated with this temporary account to you via a text message. Upon your first login you will be required to change the password and if you choose edit the temporary information in your profile. In this case you will be disclosing Personal Information which we will treat according to this Privacy Policy.
ExtendSMS will collect and maintain in our server logs all keywords and services requested by individual consumers. These server logs may be purged from time to time at ExtendSMS's sole discretion.
Information Use
ExtendSMS uses the collected "Personal Information":
(a) to deliver content, notifications and services between advertisers and consumers;
(b) to improve our services to advertisers and consumers;
(c) to provide customer support to advertisers and consumers; and
(d) to provide targeted advertising to consumers fitting advertiser-defined profiles both on our web site and via cell phone.
Opt-Out
Consumers may opt-out of receiving text messages from the ExtendSMS service by texting the keyword "STOP" to 76274.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
ExtendSMS does not rent, sell, or share Personal Information with third parties. ExtendSMS will not release your Personal Information to third parties for any reason unless required by law.
ExtendSMS may disclose non-personal, aggregate, or summary information regarding our advertisers and consumer users without further notice for reporting purposes. This aggregate information will not include any Personal Information and is used to report campaign efficacy to our clients.
In case that ExtendSMS is acquired, merged or enters bankruptcy protection we will notify you, at the email address or cell phone number associated with your account, before your "Personal Information" is transferred to a third party that may have a different Privacy Policy. You may elect to terminate your account and remove your Personal Information from our database at that time.
Cookies and Linking Data
ExtendSMS may set and access cookies on your computer in order to enhance the ExtendSMS web site experience. Cookies are a small amount of data sent from a web server and stored on your computer by your web browser. ExtendSMS's cookies do not contain any personally identifiable information.
Advertisers, that display advertising on the ExtendSMS site, may place cookies on your computer. These cookies are subject to the advertiser's privacy policy and not the ExtendSMS Privacy Policy.
Security
ExtendSMS limits access to the Personal Information to employees and subcontractors who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide services to you. ExtendSMS employs reasonable security measures to protect Personal Information from access by unauthorized persons.
Children
The ExtendSMS Service is not intended for children under 13, and ExtendSMS does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.
Changes To This Privacy Policy:
ExtendSMS reserves the right to change this Privacy Statement. ExtendSMS will provide notification of the material changes to this Privacy Statement through the customer's e-mail on file and ExtendSMS' company web sites at least thirty (30) days prior to the change taking effect.
